New Mazda CX-60

Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid model has arrived in the form of the CX-60. The new premium SUV from Mazda will be the most powerful car in their range.

New Mazda CX-60

This new flagship model will arrive in the UK this autumn and will demonstrate a continuation of the brand’s minimal ‘Kodo’ design language. The CX-60 is larger than the current CX-5 and features a bold radiator grille at the front of the car.

Mazda’s first hybrid technology powertrain is being utilised on this model. A Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine combines with a 100 kW electric motor and a 17.8 kWh high-capacity battery to deliver a total output of 323bhp.

The battery will be able to provide around 37 miles of pure electric range and an impressive 0-62mph of 5.8 seconds, which stacks up competitively against rivals in its bracket.

When it arrives in the UK, the CX-60 will be offered in 3 trims: the entry-level Exclusive (£43,950), mid-level Homura (£46,700) and the range-topping Takumi (£48,050).

The Homura trim offers 20-inch wheels, black door mirrors, body-coloured wheel arches and black door mirrors. The interior provides heated rear seats, an automatic seat adjustment system and an ambient lighting system.

The seat adjustment system can monitor the driver's eye position to reposition the seat, steering wheel and mirrors to suit. Facial recognition is also used to apply the correct preferences to the right driver.
